She goes back to a boarding school for girls and befriends Lucie (Sarah Gadon), a fellow student. However, the arrival of the new student, Ernessa (Lily Cole) would change the inner peace of mind Rebecca is trying to build. She becomes jealous of Ernessa who she thinks is trying to get Lucie's attention from her.

Reaction:

At first, one might think this is another vampire film but it turns out into something else. The script was poorly written. I was expecting a better story knowing that Mary Harron did a great job in American Psycho. There were some scenes that would spoil the climax of the film. When it comes to the actors, they are all good looking but the lead star is not that convincing in her role. The exchange of dialogues were quite bland. Nothing much remarkable. I can say that Lily Cole was able to outshine the others.

When it comes to its set design and location, it was alright. It was able to show some spooky scenes. All in all, this film is not really a horror film that would let you jump off your feet. Instead, it is a typical mystery thriller film that is quite appealing to younger audience. If you aim to watch a scary or horror film, this one would definitely not match your expectation. Better watch something else. I would rate this film as 3 out of 10.
