Reaction:
Over the years, there have been several film adaptations of the Brother Grimm's Snow White. This story is so successful that it has been made into several animated films, suspense thriller film and now a fantasy and comedy film. There is also another Snow White film coming out soon.
Anyway, this version of Snow White is a comical parody. Julia Roberts is definitely a great actress. She can portray any type of characters. She is not overrated in her portrayal as the evil queen. Lily Collins needs more practice to hone her acting skills. The supporting cast are good. I can say that it was Julia Roberts who made a mark in this film.
For those who have seen the film's official trailer, it was definitely well crafted. I have expected a much interesting and adventurous film. However, watching the entire film is not that remarkable. There were several lame scenes. Though I can say that the dialogues among the actors are quite funny. In addition, the setting is not realistic at all. It is like they were just filming some scenes inside a studio.
Finally, this is not the best Snow White film adaptation but at least I had my share of fun. I would rate this as 4 out of 10.
