Synopsis:

John Farrow (Clive Owen) is becoming more and more worried about his daughter. She is frequently visited by a faceless stranger who is trying to take her away. On the other hand, in Spain, the same strange thing is happening to a boy. He is also seeing the faceless stranger at nighttime. Both children are somewhat connected...

Reaction:

I love the fact how this film is quite believable. Some scenes are quite scary enough for children. Back from my childhood days, I remember thinking that something scary might pop out in my closet during the night. This film has achieved that scary factor. Though those suspenseful scenes may not be appealing anymore to adult viewers, but I like how they simply presented them. Not too much special effects were shown and it is not overrated.

I also enjoy watching Clive Owen's brilliant acting. However, I was disappointed that Carice van Houten  was not given much exposure. The film solely centers between the father and daughter who must fight back this unknown stranger. When the twist was revealed at the end, I was totally satisfied.

The only setback of this film is that it is pretty predictable. There were several scenes that would tell the viewers the connection between the children. My rating for this film is 5 out of 10. It would get you thrilled but not scary at all.
